You don’t need 20% down.

A 20% down payment on a home is great, but it’s not a requirement. Many mortgages require no more than 3% to 5% of the purchase price as a down payment. Plus, there are loans and grants that may help cover these costs. Use our database to search for down payment assistance in your area.

Average Homebuyer Age

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) shows the average age for first-time homebuyers is 33 this year, but why wait? You don’t need 20% down, and down payment assistance may be available.

Here's some fast facts about the most popular Down Payment Assistance programs we offer...

✔️ First things first all down payment assistance is - is a loan or grant for your down payment, that is then combined with either an FHA or Conventional loan to equal 100% financing.

✔️ Although, some programs are address or location specific - not all are. These are State and National programs and work no matter where you live.

✔️ You do not need to be a first time home buyer - you can be a first time home buyer or have owned before - it does not matter. (FYI - a first time home buyer is defined as a person who hasn't owned a property in 3 years.)

✔️ These programs are for owner occupied properties - that means you need to live in the home - it can't be used as a second home, vacation home, investment property, or the like.

✔️ The minimum credit score needed ranges from 580 to 660. (Don't rely on Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, or your friend. When you fill out an online application, and we run credit, we use that.)

✔️ There is no max income for many of the programs. (That means you can make $5 million a year and still qualify. It does not matter.)

✔️ This works on a home, townhome, condo or, PUD (no manufactured, mobile, 2/3/4 units.)
